Kid’s Ministry

Kid’s Ministry is a place we created for children to learn about God while having fun and making new friends. Whether singing, dancing, or creatively working through the day’s lesson, the goal is to nurture these tiny hearts and wake them up to Jesus.

Build relationships with a group of children; help children apply biblical principles to their lives via discussions and activities; pray with and for the children in your group.

Schedule: Saturdays or Sundays; 2 hours, weekly or biweekly

Nursery volunteers provide a warm and caring environment for children 6 weeks through 2 1/2 years of age. Each nursery room caters to a specific age group with appropriate developmental toys and activities. Not only will you minister to our littlest attendees, but you’ll also minister to their families, as mommy and daddy enjoy a service!

Schedule: Saturdays or Sundays; 2 hours weekly or biweekly

Additional Information: Orientation provided. At least high school age, with an approved application on file.

Preschool/Kindergarten is a perfect time to start teaching basic biblical principles to children. As a Small Group Leader, you instill God’s love by building relationships with a small group of children. You will also oversee crafts, sit with your group during the Large Group lesson, and pray with and for the children in your group.

Build and prepare the sets and props for each ministry area.

Schedule: As needed.

On the Registration Team, you’ll help children feel welcome and parents feel confident that their children are in good hands! You’ll assist with check-in for regularly attending families and registration for first-time guests and still be able to participate in the service. Join this team and be the “first face” of RidgeKids!

Schedule: Saturdays or Sundays; 30 minutes, weekly or biweekly

This critical team ensures that each area of RidgeKids has the supplies they need to run children’s programming with excellence. They prepare crafts and activities, stock room supplies, and are available to resource teams with extra supplies during services. This volunteer position is perfect for anyone looking for short weekday commitments or behind-the-scenes weekend opportunities.

Schedule: Wednesday afternoons, 2 hours weekly or biweekly

Be part of a team that supports Small Group Leaders and Coaches! Room Support volunteers assign kids (2yrs-5th grade) to their Small Group, set up for craft time, take kids to the restroom, and help make it the best 60 minutes of a kid’s week!

Schedule: Saturdays or Sundays; 2 hours weekly or biweekly

Assist volunteers and kids during special seasonal events and holidays.

Schedule: Varies by kid’s ministry needs and your availability.

Tech volunteers use audio, video, and computers to enhance the Bible lessons during the children’s large group time. Volunteers should be familiar with computers and Pro-Presenter programs. Orientation provided.
