Ensuring God’s love reaches everyone.
Our special needs ministry exists to serve those attenders who, due to their disability, may otherwise miss a church service or event. Between individual care and specialized groups, we are not only equipped to care for our attenders with special needs, but blessed to do so.
One-on-One Program
This program provides children/students with a special needs-trained partner to assist them to participate in their appropriate area of ministry and for special events throughout the year; offered in Plymouth at all weekend service hours – Sat 5:16p, Sun 9:16a, Sun 11:16a.
God Squad Adult Ministry
God Squad is an adult Bible study that provides a unique and appropriate setting for adults with special needs to socialize, engage in God’s Word, and serve within the church; offered in Plymouth at the Saturday 5:16p service.

Complete the online Individual Worship Plan. (IWP)
The IWP is designed to help the leaders in our Special Needs Ministry best understand and support your child. The IWP is modeled off of an Individualized Education Plan used in the school system to best help your child succeeded while they are with us. Their spiritual growth and worship experience is important to us. We want to help each child in this ministry to have every opportunity to develop their love for Jesus the way that best fit their needs and learning style. Thank you for entrusting them to our team, and we look forward to supporting your family.
We want everyone to encounter God’s love, and develop healthy relationships with peers and leaders. Our program for individuals with special needs is designed to meet the needs of children, teens, and adults who require special care or attention by partnering them with a one-on-one volunteer.
If you’d love to be trained or become a One-on-One partner, email us your interest at SNM Partner Interest.
This small group provides parents/guardians of children and adults with special needs a positive environment to receive encouragement, guidance, and support. It allows parents to share experiences with others who are facing similar challenges while engaging in God’s Word.
We meet at the Plymouth Campus. Respite care is provided.

How does it work?
We team a partner (adult/teen) with a person with a disability in our existing programs at NorthRidge Church.
How are partners selected?
Potential partners are interviewed and a determination is made as to whether they qualify. Each partner must go through a security screening process to be approved to work with children.
Is the partner trained and what do they need from me?
Some of our partners have experience working with special needs children/adults, but since every child is different, our partners are trained specifically to work with the child assigned to them. You know your child best and are an expert in their care, so communication from you is vital to help the volunteer learn how to best care for your child.
Join us throughout 2024/2025 for fun afternoons of bowling! Our Special Needs team is excited to bowl together. Bumpers and bowling ramps are available. The bowling ally is wheelchair accessible as well.
Cost: $10, each event, for bowling and shoes if you need them. Click to see the full schedule and to register.
Parents not bowling with their children do not need to register.
