Four years ago, my life was falling apart. I had no idea what to do to fix the brokenness. I remember walking into NorthRidge, crying through the worship, and praying. I so wanted God to show Himself to me, to increase my faith, and to help me. He did! I cannot say enough about how God has worked through everyone I have encountered here - seriously, everyone, and how grateful I am for this church!
I was invited by a woman whose faith and joy was contagious! My husband and I were both "holiday practicing" cradle Catholics. We weren't looking for a new church home, but we wanted a deeper relationship with God, for us, and our two daughters. The experience and the relationship we have developed with Christ has truly changed our lives and our family dynamic for the better. All because I nervously said yes to an invite.
Our friends invited us to Easter, and it was a complete game-changer. Our lives were changed that day. My husband was a cradle Catholic, and I had converted when we had kids. For seven years, I had sat in a pew and checked off all the boxes, knowing there had to be more to this religion thing. I knew I was missing something; I just couldn't figure it out. On that Good Friday, we found the missing piece… a relationship with Christ. Our daughters have both invited Jesus into their hearts in the years since. NorthRidge has been an essential part of our faith journeys.
Sixteen years ago, I was a Christmas and Easter Christian. My husband is Jewish, and our kids were baptized as babies, but we had no church home and had given up on finding one. But then a neighbor invited us to NorthRidge. It changed my family and me… NorthRidge is my home in so many ways!
My husband and I were invited to NorthRidge by my brother. Though I grew up in church, I later walked away. My rebellion was against everyone, including my family and God. And yet, God was still faithful. He put a desire for church community back into my heart. I went from being an observer to a participant and never want to turn back!
I can truly say that coming to NorthRidge saved our marriage! My wife and I were in a dark place in our relationship. NorthRidge has helped us strengthen our spiritual journey!
My husband, Gary, was diagnosed with Leukemia, stage four cancer. We were devastated and frightened. We both knew and believed in God, but we didn't attend church. So, when we received an invitation to a Good Friday Service at NorthRidge we accepted... and, we haven't stopped coming since then. Our God and this church have done so much for renewing our faith, answering prayers, and giving us hope. Years have passed, and we are both serving and leading… I cannot imagine not being a part of this church.
An acquaintance of mine from high school messaged me out of the blue one day early in January, with an invitation to NorthRidge. That day forever changed me... I was saved at that service, and my heart has been on fire for the Lord ever since.
When we were initially invited to NorthRidge, my family's relationship with God was lacking. And yet, whenever our friend invited us, we always had an excuse. We finally decided to attend … it was not what I expected. The worship music started, and I felt so alive! I knew we were in the right place, and I know God led me to NorthRidge. I am forever grateful to my friend for inviting us!
