SEPTEMBER 27
Galatians 6:9 - “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Prayer: God, please help me with this. It’s so hard to do what’s right and good sometimes, especially when it seems like there isn’t really much of a benefit. Remind me of Your purpose in my life - not to make me the most comfortable, but to make me the most like You. Thank You for Your promises and that You are faithful to keep them. I trust today that in Your timing I will experience the harvest, and I trust that You can give me the strength I need to keep going. Amen.

Philippians 1:6 - “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Prayer: Father God, I praise You for your plan and control in all circumstances. I praise You that You are working even when I don’t see it  or feel it. God, I come to you today, needing your strength. I am in need of your grace to persevere. I know that You will never give up on me, and I am committing to not give up on You. Fill me with Your presence and Your peace in such a way that gives me what I need for today to continue on. I need you today! Amen.

September 22

James 1:2 - “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,”

Prayer: God, can I be honest? I’m tired of persevering. I am in need of a mental and emotional break. Will you allow me to see and feel that my joy is found in the journey with You? Help me to stop reciting the “what if’s” in my mind and fill it with truth; perseverance and joy can coexist because of You and in You alone. Amen.

Ephesians 6:10-11 - “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

Prayer: Heavenly Father, in this time of uncertainty, right now, I feel very much attacked. It seems like the world may be against me in this season. I pray that I would find my strength in You and that through You, You would help me to persevere. Today I put on the full armor of God that You give in Your Word to protect me and to give me strength to persevere . I praise You and thank You for what you will do in and through me as a result. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

September 24

James 1:12 - “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

Prayer: God, it is a joy to live a life centered on you. I choose to persevere and remain steadfast in following You. I cling to Your promises and Your love, trusting that as I remain faithful to You, You remain faithful to me. No matter what trials or hardship I am currently in, or may face, I will choose a life fully surrendered to Your Word.

September 25

Isaiah 46:4 - "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you."

Prayer: God, thank You for the rich promises in Your Word to always be with me throughout my life. When I'm physically or emotionally depleted, when I think I can't possibly move forward, You tell me... I can. I can persevere not because of my ability or strength but because of Your faithfulness. There is nothing too big for You. When I am weak and think I can’t go on, You carry me. Thank You, Lord, for being my Sustainer and my Rescuer.

September 26

Hebrews 12:1-2 - “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Prayer: Jesus, sustain me when my faith is weak. Help me to keep my eyes on You and Your promises and not on my circumstances. Only in You can I persevere through all the trials that cross my path. Because You persevered and died on the cross, You have broken the power of sin and death in my life. In You, I now have the spiritual direction, strength, and perseverance needed to join You in Your work to redeem the world. Help me finish this faith race well for Your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
