MOPS

Their best begins with you

If you are pregnant or have children through the Kindergarten-age, join MOPS and connect with other women on the mission to be their very best.

We are all about celebrating motherhood. We build circles of women to do life with because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That's why we provide ways for moms to connect, meet together, laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.

The MOPS program is offered at the Plymouth and Brighton Campuses, two Thursdays a month, September- May. Click on a group location and time for more information and to register for the winter session.

FAQs

What is MOPS and MomsNext?

The MOPS Ministry at NorthRidge is a partnership with MOPS International, an organization on a mission to encourage moms all over the world. What a great teammate for a church like NorthRidge who wants to “Wake the World Up to Jesus!” MOPS stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” and is for any mom pregnant through having Kindergarten aged children; however, we know motherhood doesn’t stop when you send them off to school! That is why there is also MomsNext, for mamas with school-aged kids. (MomsNext is only available at Plymouth in the morning group.) Choosing MomsNext when you register means you will be placed with other moms with school-aged children and given opportunities to partake in activities specially geared towards moms of school-aged kids.

When is it?

We meet two Thursdays a month, beginning in September and ending in May following the PCCS school calendar. Throughout the season, there are also Moms Night Out events, play dates, and serving opportunities to connect outside of the normal MOPS Thursdays with other mamas!

What can I expect?

Every mom who registers will be assigned a group leader, also called a Table Leader, because that is how you will gather… around a table! Each table also has a Mentor Mom and can have anywhere from 4-8 other mamas to connect with. You will join your table to eat, listen to a speaker and talk through discussion questions to spark meaningful conversations.

What about homeschooled kids?

We have a “homeschool room” for kids above the infant–Kindergarten age for childcare. Just fill out your kids’ info when you register, and we will be happy to take care of them, too! (Only available at Plymouth in the morning group)

Can I volunteer in MOPS?

YES! We need volunteers for childcare, greeting, setup/tear down, tech, and creative/hospitality team. Must be a part of MOPS, MomsNext, or a MOPS Mentor to volunteer. Email Brittany Hamilton if you are interested in volunteering! Please include if you would like to volunteer during mornings or evenings at Plymouth or Brighton in the mornings.
