Serve with us at the Hope Clinic or the Ronald McDonald House.

These organizations are dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and families with sick children. They provide shelter, meals, and services that not only alleviate immediate hardships but also empower individuals to strive for economic self-sufficiency and secure, affordable housing. The Ronald McDonald Houses, in particular, offer a lifeline to families with sick children, enabling them to stay close to their little ones during these challenging times.

Serving in this ministry enables you to “Show Them His Love” by putting your hands and feet into action as you serve and encourage those who are lonely, hurting, or rejected. Our teams register and are then scheduled by each organization. Check out the opportunities below.

Join the fun the first Saturday of each month! Our team prepares 180-200 fresh food plates for those in need in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area.  We have a professional chef sharing all of his expertise and culinary skills.  If you love to chop, bake, and cook in mass quantities, this is the spot for you.

It all begins at 1:30p for those of you who want to prepare the food. If you would like to serve food, then please arrive at 3:00p.  We are a Show Them His Love team!

Watch for 2026 opportunities!

It is a smaller kitchen, so spots are limited.

Note: Children must be at least 8 years old to serve with their parent.

One Saturday each month, we participate in RMH Ann Arbor’s program, The Baking Buddies. They meet in Ann Arbor from 10a until noon and bake for the families staying at their facility. The group decides what they want to bake (cookies, muffins, brownies, etc.) and supplies the materials. The RMH kitchen has mixing bowls, measuring spoons/cups, and baking pans.

Baking Buddies is limited to eight volunteers at a time.

Note: Adults and students 16 years and older, or younger can join in if their parent(s) accompany them.

We provide a meal on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10a-12p. Each volunteer is assigned a food category (Example: Entrée, Dessert, Salad, Snack) and brings an item of their choice, homemade or store-bought, from the assigned category. Approximate cost per volunteer is $15-$20. Together, volunteers package meals for guests to take to the hospital or enjoy after a long day at the hospital with their sick child.

Note: Children 5 years and older, family, and friends are welcome.
