Royal Family KIDS

Royal Family KIDS (RFK) was established in 1985 as a community camp for foster kids. It has grown into an international ministry serving children ages 6-12 in the foster care system.

RFK aims to transform lives and communities by interrupting cycles of neglect, abuse, and abandonment. They do this by offering a week-long camp experience and a nine-month mentoring program, both designed to change the trajectory of young lives.

Through our partnership with RFK, we have been blessed to witness the life-changing difference that can happen when we show God’s love by creating special memories and fostering positive adult relationships. Learn more below and join us!

Kids Camp 2026 Informational Meeting
Sun, February 8, 12:45-2:00p
Plymouth Campus
Meeting will be held in Room 2213 following the 11:16a service.

We are seeking dedicated and committed volunteers with a heart for serving these special children. Our greatest need is for week-long volunteers to serve as counselors, cabin staff, and support staff. Additionally, we are looking for Event Team members to assist in facilitating one-day events during the week of camp. Event Team members will select their participation based on interest and availability.

The next camp is scheduled for June 2026. Applications will be posted in January and close in March. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Whether you can commit to an entire week of camp or help out for a day, you can play a huge part in changing the trajectory of a child’s life. Applications, interviews, and mandatory training are required to participate in camp.

The Royal Family KIDS Mentoring Club is an extension of the week-long camp experience we provide for children in foster care. At the Club, kids experience God’s word through music, drama, and crafts. Mentoring allows these vulnerable children to maintain reliable, positive relationships with adults and spend quality time with their siblings.

The application process for the Mentoring Club takes place over the summer. From September to May, the Club meets one Saturday a month at NorthRidge. The mentor role is reserved for volunteers who attend our week-long camp; however, many other staff roles contribute to making the Club a special experience. These roles include being a mentee buddy, food team, crafts, drama, photography, and more.
