Technical Arts - Saline

Our ministry is the Creative Technical Arts for the Saline Campus, and we are the teams that load-in, setup and run the technical equipment for the services at the Northridge Saline Campus. We are a completely volunteer-run ministry, and give people who have never seen production equipment, the opportunity to learn to run professional production technology.
  • Lighting Setup/Teardown: People who can help us to hang the lights and run the cables for the lighting equipment.

  • Video Setup/Teardown: People who build the screens, aim the projectors, and run the cables for the video system.

  • Audio Setup/Teardown: The folks that help with hanging the speakers, setting up the drums and putting out the microphones.

  • Audio Operators: Volunteers that get to actually run sound for the services, as well as help with setup for audio.

  • Lighting Operators: The Volunteers that get to run the light console to help Saline look good, as well as help with setup.

  • Video Operators: Volunteers that will work in teams to run graphics, switch what's on the screens and play back videos, in addition of course to helping with setup.

Video Production - Plymouth

The key to directing a good scene: Roll Cameras...Speed...Slate....Action! The key to directing video production at NorthRidge: ...Volunteers like you!
  • Live Production: Be a part of the technical team responsible for all visual aspects of weekend services. Serving opportunities include camera operator, graphic operator, assistant director and many more. Join one of the most exciting and fun ministry opportunities in the Church.

  • Post Production: Help us create and produce videos for every area of ministry. Serving opportunities include on location shooting, editing, motion graphics and graphic design. A ministry where your creative juices can really flow!

Audio Team - Plymouth

Come be a part of the technical arts team responsible for all aspects of audio needed for all services and events. The audio team is a dynamic, challenging, never a dull moment experience! Our team members volunteer for all 4 services each weekend they are scheduled on a rotation that is generally one weekend per month. Special events and seasonal productions are scheduled based on availability and experience for all positions.
  • Audio Stage Hands: Assists in the removal of audio equipment during the services. Volunteers also will assist in the striking of equipment for set changes.

  • Front of House Mixer: Responsible for mixing all audio the folks sitting in the seats hear during each service and working with the people on stage to achieve the best “sound” possible.

  • Instrument Tech: Assists band with audio setup of their equipment for services.

  • Monitor Mixer: Responsible for all audio mixes being sent to the performers on stage during a service and providing support for all wireless equipment used for each service.

  • Broadcast/Recording Mixer: Responsible for all audio going out to the media duplication area, overflow seating areas and any audio utilized for video at the Saline campus on Sun morning.

Lighting Team - Plymouth

Joining the Lighting Team gives you the opportunity to meet new people and to serve God and the church while using your technical skills and creative abilities.
  • Lighting Volunteer: Use different lighting tools to help attendees and guests engage with God through high impact production. Time commitment is Thursday 5p-8p, Saturday 2p-9p, Sunday 8a-1p once per month; and Tuesday and Wednesday 5p-9p once every 4-6 weeks. General technical and computer knowledge helpful.

Information Technologies

Help serve the daily computer and technology needs of NorthRidge by assisting with weekday operations or on weekends at one of our three campuses. 
  • Desktop Support Volunteer: Receive and respond to support tickets that come to the helpdesk which may involve minor hardware and software maintenance. Time commitments are flexible. IT experience is required.

  • Network &Tech Support - Howell: We are looking for some tech-savvy volunteers to assist with setup and networking of internet connections, check-in kiosks, and POS systems on Sundays at our upcoming Brighton/Howell campus. You don't have to be an IT expert...we only require that you have a servants heart and a little experience with wiring and computers.

Staging Team - Plymouth

If you like to be active but prefer a "behind the scenes" role, then join the Staging Team!
  • Scenic Carpentry: Our scenic carpentry volunteers help build the stage sets used for weekend series, dramas and special events.

  • Stage Crew: These are the guys and gals in black that you see lurking in the dark corners of the stage, moving props and setting scenes. They make sure everything is where it needs to be when the lights come up.
