Duffel Bags

The purpose of this ministry is to provide a 30” duffel bag for children who are removed from their homes due to abuse/neglect and placed into foster care.  The first day of being pulled from their home is understandably very traumatic for these children.  They often leave their homes with all of their belongings placed in a black garbage bag – with the unspoken message that they and all of their belongings are no better than trash.  The goal of this effort is to provide a child with a nice duffel bag filled with essential items that they can call their own and help provide comfort as they transition.  Bags will be collected quarterly throughout the year.
